Expertise

Prior to TEQSA’s establishment, I was a member of institutional review panels, as a representative of the NSW Vice Chancellors' Committee, engaged in accreditation reviews of private higher education providers. Prior to 2018, I also undertook external reviews of organisational units and academic governance.

Examples of projects by type in the last 5 years include:

• Reviews of corporate and/or academic governance for universities and independent higher education providers;

• External expert reviews (Consultant) of Limited Self-Accrediting Authority documentation;

• External expert reviews (Consultant) of registration and reregistration documentation;

• Review and redrafting of Research and Higher Degree Research Frameworks, including Research and Higher Degree Research Policies and Procedures for universities and independent higher education providers;

• Review and redrafting of Teaching and Learning Policies and Procedures for universities and independent higher education providers;

• Expert opinion on higher education matters;

• External independent reviews of the life cycle of student complaints and grievances;

• Mentoring and support to chairs of academic boards and academic staff.
